The urge to feed something extraordinary to the eye and soul is so great that many of us will do almost anything to experience visual nirvana. And so, we fly off to exotic places where nothing is familiar and everything is exciting, we take in novelty as an hors d’oeuvre and capture the out-of-our-ordinary as daily fare. All in all, travelling is a delicious and creative adventure. Ironically, all of this excitement is often nothing more than a prelude to an even greater feast – the discovery of our own backyard as primary source of inspiration. Apart from expanding our horizons, that is what travelling is for – to bring us home. – 02
