Bernard Aimé Poulin – painter, sculptor, author

I create official and private portraits and commissioned exhibitions internationally. Most of my official portrait work fits into the categories of politics, royalty, corporate leadership as well as artistic, sport and religious figures. In the area of privately commissioned portraiture, I have created 100s of children’s and family portraits.

When not painting or sculpting, I enjoy creating thematic exhibitions related to areas of the world I’ve experienced : Tuscany and Venice (1996), Provence, (1998), Jerusalem (2000), Paris (2005). The last show (2007) was a world overview exhibition entitled : The Grand Tour.

My 3 dimensional murals, which at times incorporate bronze sculpture, can be found in the lobby of the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, the Ottawa Children’s Aid Society and the  Solange Karsh Center for Medical Research in the nation’s capital Ottawa.

Over the years, I have lectured and run workshops throughout Canada the United States and Bermuda. The author of 9 books – most are on drawing or creativity. I am presently working on several new manuscripts. My 3 latest books are entitled : Beyond Discouragement – Creativity, The complete Colored Pencil Book (Classics series at North Light Books) and lastly a comic book, published by Mirror Comics, entitled: Please Daddy, Hold My Hand.
