Art is our maker, not our slave.
Art cannot and does not survive in an emotional vacuum. If we are ignorant of the world in which we live, preferring to focus on our individual needs and aspirations rather than on the community which feeds us physically and emotionally – art simply fades into a mediocrity of sameness.
Good art does not focus on being beautiful but rather beautifully rendered.
Nothing which mars or destroys the integrity of creation is art. Graffiti imposed is nothing and therefore cannot be art when its prima facie reason for existence is to spit upon someone else’s creative effort.
